Amidst news of further COVID-19 restrictions placed on Victorians and falls in the June index results across capital cities over the last month, Oriel and Ben are joined by Angus Raine, Executive Chairman at Raine & Horne.
Reiterating comments made to Property TV in May, “what the media are telling the public and what I’m hearing from our 300+ offices on the ground is completely different – poles apart” he says. “Economists can say, Angus it’s a bit of a fool’s paradise cause when the demand bucket’s been filling and you’ve got a lack of listings, obviously the one thing that happens is the prices go up. That’s exactly what we’re seeing.”
Speaking on international expansion, “We actually lead the world in agency best practice and that’s what we’re doing. We’re exporting our IP overseas.”
Having been in Malaysia now for over 30 years and with offices in Fiji, Dubai and southern India “it’s all about exporting our expertise.”
Taking us to the Northern Rivers region of NSW, we speak with Julie-Ann Manahan about how the uptake of technology during the recent lockdown period has led to an increase in enquiries from qualified buyers and amplifying the agency’s digital presence is encouraging sellers to the market.
New to the Property Edge team this week is Shaneal Sharma and his segment PropTechNow to introduce us to the ride-share of removal companies Muval.
And finally, Peter Gibbons tells us about the 3 year, overnight success that is private sale and auction hybrid, Openn Negotiation.
Join Oriel, Ben and now Shaneal each Wednesday night at 7pm AEST, exclusively on PropertyTV.io
