Sales Coaching
Welcome to the Property Line, with me Andy Reid, Auctioneer, Commentator and Coach in the real estate space, I hope you’re all very well. It has been another week of building momentum within the space of real estate, lots of people manically trying to get transactions completed before Santa’s sleigh bells start to ring.
It’s an interesting marketplace with so many real hot pockets, there’s a lot of people starting to get ahead of themselves a little bit. One thing I’ve noticed on the front line certainly, is that there still needs to be a good degree of pragmatism within the marketplace in order to take advantage of it. One or two vendors getting a little bit ahead of themselves, reading into the headlines that little bit too much and not understanding what’s happening with the greater economy.
Real estate professionals are starting to fall into the same trap and it’s certainly something that tends to rear its ugly head in a good market. Assumption makes and ass out of you and me and assuming that results are going to just come through by divine right (just because it is a good market) has certainly bitten one or two people in the space. So we’ve got to make sure that we’re doing everything that we possibly can to stay as conscientious as possible on the front line, if we’re to make the most of what is a very very fruitful marketplace.
Now heading into next year, no one’s got a crystal ball and it’s going to be so difficult to really try and predict with any degree of validity what is likely to happen however, I thought I’d get someone who has been in the space for nearly 40 years to give us her impressions as to what are going to be the real key areas of focus heading into next year.
I’m absolutely delighted to have Leanne Pilkington join us, she is the CEO of Laing & Simmons as well as being the President of the Real Estate Institute of NSW. A human that has just got so much experience, knowledge and awareness and I thought she’d be the perfect person to lead us into Christmas.
We’re going to talk about a lot of different things, mainly from a place of strategy and development from a real estate professional point of view as we head into 2021 and beyond but also, how the changes in the way that we do business is likely to affect the consumer on a permanent basis moving forward. It’s always a delight to have her in conversation and it’s no different on this episode so make sure you pin your ears back and tune into what this incredible individual has to say.
All that and more on the final episode of Property Line for 2020, above.
