Last week
There were 1,278 homes taken to auction across the combined capital cities last week, returning a final auction clearance rate of 71 per cent; the seventh consecutive week above the 70 per cent mark. Melbourne held a very subdued 107 auctions last week while Sydney had its busiest week since November last year with almost 1,000 auctions conducted.
This week and weekend
Auction activity is expected to remain relatively steady week-on-week across the combined capital cities, with 1,236 homes scheduled to go under the hammer this week, compared to last week’s 1,278 auctions held. Over the same week one year ago, a higher 1,817 capital city homes were auctioned.
